UNESCAP Workshop Session
“Building Resilience to Climate Change through AI-Powered Disaster Solutions.”
This event aims to strengthen the capacity of young professionals and government officials in utilizing digital innovations and geospatial technologies to address the growing challenges of climate change and disaster risk.
In line with the Jakarta Ministerial Declaration on Space Applications for Sustainable Development, the training will feature AI-powered tools for spatial decision support system that integrates satellite Earth observation data, cloud computing, and natural language processing to support flood mapping and impact assessment.
Participants will engage in technical sessions, demonstrations, and collaborative group projects focused on applying AI-driven tools for disaster preparedness and resilience planning.

CopPhil Workshop Session
The Copernicus Philippines (CopPhil) programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Space Agency (ESA) in partnership with the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), will organizae this session to showcase local applications of Copernicus Earth Observation data and demonstrate how space-based data can be translated into practical solutions for national and local priorities in the Philippines.

SatGPT is an AI-powered spatial decision support system that integrates satellite Earth observation data, cloud computing, and natural language processing to enable historical flood mapping and impact assessment. Developed to address the growing challenges of climate change, it strengthens disaster preparedness, resilience planning, and data-driven decision-making, particularly in resource-constrained settings.
